Top 6 GOT Moments. Ever.

In honor of one of my favorite shows of all time being over and quite honestly one of the absolute best fantasy worlds ever created coming to a theatrical conclusion I have decided to lay out my top 6 GOT moments of all time. Not quite sure why I chose 6 and not 9 but whatever.

6: Daenerys Targaryen rises from the ashes and becomes the mother of dragons.

For me this moment was when I went “holy hell this show has something awesome in store for me as the viewer.” The only problem for me at that moment was I didn’t truly understand how amazing The journey was going to be from that moment forward.

5: John Snows Death

this one I put on top of Danny ( see what I did there with there history together ) only because I didn’t expect for anything like that to happen to him in such a stupid way. Getting stabbed in the back by your own people and not even having a chance to defend yourself? Pretty crazy way for huge character to go down.

4: Battle of the bastards

I had to put this whole episode as number 4 only because it was one of the greatest battles in Television history and moreso one of the shows most glowing moments. Ramsay Bolton and John Snow in a battle to the absolutely death? Count me in. And who won makes it all the more enjoyable. And expanding on that Ramsay’s death is just as awesome as any moment in the show.

3: The Red Wedding

One of the most often talked about moments in the entire show and books for that matter. The thing that turns the world of Westeros truly on its head and sets the Stark family on a trajectory of revenge and thirst for power that we never could have even imagined all in a matter of minutes. And the amount of blood shed and character deaths here to me truly showed me how much of a shock factor this show could bring to the table. Truly a memorable moment.

2: Night Kings Death

this is where the post gets controversial. Most everybody has opinions on the Final season however in my mind this episode in itself, battle of winterfell, is the show creators at there very best and also very worst all in one episode. Let me expand on that. The Dothraki going first and charging into the pitch black to go after the dead only to watch there torches and lanterns slowly fade to black was one of the coolest moments of the final season. Also that initial surge of the dead just linebacker rushing into the front lines of the unsullied was about as cool a thing as I've ever seen. The Night King falling off his dragon to have Jon Snow follow and chase him only to turn around raise his arms and watch the dead reawaken was a masterpiece. Where it was at its worst was the show runners allowing the build to this to be Bran simply saying the Night King wants him and everybody blindly believe him was lazy. Not unimaginable but lazy. And then the money all going to Arya with the jump, scream, slow drop of the dagger and stab was next level awesome Hell of a payoff to an epic build.

1: Dracarys

Need I say more? The city of Kings Landing burning to ashes as Cersei sits in the tower of the red keep and watches was all of the emotions the show has made me feel all wrapped up into one episode and better yet one 20ish minute blaze of glory.
