Scooters Scoops: AFC South Preview

And we're back and ready to attack on this fine thursday afternoon. Let me just start by saying this: the NFL is so good at keeping themselves in the spotlight and it just blows my mind how much fun im having doing this series beside one of my best friends. This has been a blast but enough with the sappy shit lets get down to business we have the AFC South to break down!

Last place: Tennesse #Titans (5-11, Division: 2-4 )

When i look at Tennessee i dont love much about them on offense but the Defense looks dynamic. Mariota scares me a little bit based on his skillset alone but even moreso on his durability concerns. I know i know they brought in Tannehill as the backup so they have a good backup plan which is good and all but im not a big fan of a team having a revolving door potentially at QB and having any success in this division.

When you break down the defense of Tennessee and look at what they did last year its not surprising to think of this defense as being a very good one. Potentially even top 10 in the league but i've seen first hand that defense can only hold teams down for so long and at some point the fight dies when the offense isnt producing and i see this offense being very similar to what it was last year. A very run heavy and safe offense and i just dont see that working very well this year. This division is to strong for that.

3rd place: Jacksonville #Jaguars (7-9, Division: 1-5 )

i seem to have an uncanny ability to have divisional records in these blog posts be extremely polarizing but im okay with that. This team has a real chance to be a boom or bust team so why not play it safe and have them being mediocre, makes sense doesn't it?

Welcome to the most talented team you have ever been on Big Dick Nick... oh its not the most talented team you've ever been on...? Someone better tell Jalen Ramsey that. The offense should be better with Foles behind center but it still to me comes down to fournette and staying healthy but moreso being productive when he is healthy. The defense has talent all over and should be very good but this team has a weird dynamic to it that makes it seem very volatile and i cant buy into that.

2nd place - Houston #Texans ( 9-7, Division 4-2 )

Coming off of what they did last year id love to have them at more wins but they have a brutal schedule in my mind and will struggle to win outside of the division. to me at 9-7 theyre still a playoff team but its the Texans they'll lose round 1.

Deshaun Watson and Nuke alone make this offense scary then you add in the idea of Fuller staying healthy for even half a year and Foreman coming back and the offense has potential to be something so long as the offensive line doesn't get Watson killed. The defense still led by JJ Watt and Clowney is what it is: very good but beatable at times just dont drop back 40 times a game and let these dudes pin there ears back and you'll be okay.

1st place - Indianapolis #Colts - ( 11-5, Division 5-1 )

what is not to like about this team? Luck is finally healthy behind a line that gives him all the time you could ever want and he has plenty of weapons.

not the best weapons in the league but very capable weapons. The defense is also young and on the upward trend you want to see as a second year head coach in Frank Reich. This team caught alot of people by surprise last year and its only going to be that much better this year. They have the weapons another offseason of supplementing it with more assets and a QB HC tandem that is nothing to mess with. The picture below of A Luck says it all. Dudes a goat amongst sheep. GO COLTS. #ColtsForged

coming up next week i will be taking a one week absence from NFC predictions to cover some NBA free agency talk and giving my scoops on where the big fish land and where whoever is left may end up as well. Until then follow @officialbudhole on #twitter and #instagram and we'll see you next Thursday!
