Everyone plays Fortnite. Except for terrorists and busy dads. Most who play have their favorite drops, some love Neo Tilted, some Mega Mall. Those people are wrong. Here are the top 6 drops in the game.
For reference these are drops that tailor to duos and solos.
6. Haunted Hills
Haunted Hills is a dark horse, but ultimately should be on your drop list consideration. It’s not much, but it’s honest living. Theres the church, the little chapel, a couple outhouse buildings, a Reboot van in case of emergency, and on occasion a vending machine. A duo can get some good loot from multiple chests.
There's also some good surround locations in case the storm drops a ways away. You can head North around the mountain and hit up Junk Junction and the Block. South brings you past a couple houses, the old pirate outpost, and Snobby Shores. East brings you into Pleasant Park. All in all it’s a nice drop with minimal action but high loot potential.
5. Fatal Fields
Fatal used to be a major hot spot on the map. A lot of players would drop for some instant action and high loot. They have the house, the Barn and the stable which all provide some great loot opportunities. There are other some other nooks and crannies that have hidden chests and two vending machine locations.
The surrounding areas are add to it. Lucky is South, Paradise is East, Salty North, and a slip stream to the west for easy travel to Shifty, Tilted, and Loot Lake. It’s a great drop, but expect some action.
4. Little Mexico
Really the only unnamed location that’s worth a damn. Little Mexico has a plethora of small little houses and shacks that are filled with chests and other valuable loot.
Downfall of little mexico is its location. It’s on the edge of the map which can mean some extensive travel with no great mode of transportation besides a few zip lines. Some surrounding locations can be beneficial depending on the storm location including paradise, fatal, and lucky landings. The area is 50/50 on action. Sometimes you’ll be the only one landing, other times you’ll run into multiple duos or squads. Proceed with caution.
3. Salty Springs
A true OG spot. May not have been named in season one, but the layout remains the same. Salty is centrally located and is a hot spot for dropping, with multiple battlepass challenges to complete.
Theres quite a few houses to load up at, normally producing some solid loadouts. After eliminating everyone else and looting the town, you can move towards Paradise, Fatal, Tilted, or Dusty. All solid options for some secondary loot.
2. Snobby Shores
Truly an underrated drop. Its on the far east side of the map, and depending on the bus path, can lead to high activity or very minimal. The 5 houses offer some great loot and is great for a squad, but even better for a duo.
The traveling can can be a little intimidating, especially you have to travel over to paradise. Typically you can find a quad to hop on and get across the map. You can hit up the Vikings village, indoor soccer arena, and Tilted as you make your away across. Theres really only one spot that’s better...
1. Lucky landings
Here we are. The cream of the crop. The Taj Mahal. The, well you get it. Lucky is a great drop, despite its location. There’s the tomato building, the South house, the central plaza, and a few other buildings that‘ll get you anything you need.
Typically you’ll find a vending machine, multiple chests and a quad or drift board to get across the map or get out fast in case you run into some hot action. Once you finish looting, you can quickly get over to Fatal, little Mexico, or happy hamlet. If you’re looking for a great drop, Lucky is your place. On second thought, leave this to me.
