The McCredible Hulk

In the Spirit of The Avengers: End Game (#Dontspoiletheendgame)releasing last week, I've decided to drop my NFL player comparisons to the super hero's trying to save the world.

This week is an easy one. Christian McCaffrey = The Incredible Hulk. Many of you have probably seen the photo surfacing of CMAC looking ripped after what appears to be some intense offseason workouts. There's no denying that his physical stature mimics the hulk, but that's not the only thing that the two have in common. Here are my top 6 reasons CMAC is the NFL's Incredible Hulk.

1. Superhuman Strength

The Hulk's strength is limitless. People are like a mosquito, vehicles like paper, buildings like 10 pound weight. A single person alone can't take down the Hulk, it takes the effort of an army, or the gentle lullaby from the black widow. McCaffrey is the same, minus the lullaby. It's a tall challenge for one defender to take him down, you'll normally see an army of DT's and LB's before his progression stops.

2. Superhuman Speed

The Hulk also has crazy speed. Despite his size, he can still run up to 770 MPH. It's good for him, but it's bad for who he's chasing. McCafrrey is similar, except its bad for who is chasing him. His 40 time at the combine was a 4.48s, but he plays much faster with the pads on. According to NextGen stats, he had a top speed of 20.37mph this year on a 56 yard reception.

3. Superhuman Stamina

The Hulk doesn't get fatigued, neither does McCaffrey. Checking out 2018 snap counts from fantasypros.com, CMAC led the way for running backs in both total offensive snaps and percentage of snaps. His total snaps were 965 (Zeke was 2nd with 890) and 91% of total snaps (Zeke was 2nd with 89%). He also came in 25th in total snaps for all offensive players.

4. Superhuman Durability

As we all know, the hulk is nearly indestructible. Nothing seems to hurt him. Knives, swords, high caliber bullets, C4, bazookas, well you get the point. CMAC has been extremely durable on the field. Since getting drafted 8th overall by the Panthers in the 2017 draft. He has played in all 32 regular season games. Staying healthy as a running back is a tough job, but he has managed to do it so far through his career.

5. Adaption to hostile environments

Adapting is a big similarity. Hulk will go to extraterrestrial worlds and fight villains and is able to fight in their environment. CMAC is the same way, except he mostly crosses state lines, and occasionally international. Although his stats are a little lower than when they play at home, he still posts great numbers on the road. He rushed for 403 yards, caught 54 passes for 432 yards, and a total of 6 td's.

6. Homing ability

The Hulk has a mystical ability to locate the area in New Mexico where he first became the Hulk. CMAC's homing ability is the endzone. He ended up with 14 total TD's last year (7 rushing, 6 receiving, and 1 passing), putting him 5th among total RB's (Gurly 23, Kamara 18, Gordon 16, and Barkley 15).

Overall CMAC is an all around beast and the similarities to the Hulk are strikingly similar. Please let me know whether you agree or disagree on both Instagram and Twitter, @officialbudhole. Also if you have a superhero comparison in mind, please let me know in the comments and I will try to corporate it in next weeks article.
