Gage's Gossip: Top 6 Movies of the Summer

Summer is one of the best seasons of the year! Baseball is in full swing, the smell of fresh cut grass is in the air, and best of all, the new blockbusters hit the theaters! Here you will find my list of the top 6 movies to hit the big screen in the coming months.

Number 6: Dora and the Lost City of Gold Premier 8-9

Dora looks to be Nickelodeon's shot at a real world rendition of a childhood classic. Follow Dora through the crazy journey of high school as this jungle girl tries to fit in with her cousin Diego in the real world. After a field trip goes wrong the pair have to work together under Dora's leadership to save the day!

Number 5: Men in Black International Premier 6-14

The Men in Black tack a new turn with a female agent in the series. The 4th installment of the series takes place in London with alien hijinks taking place all over the world. The Men in Black are the only beings in the universe that can answer the call.

Number 4: Once Upon a Time in Hollywood Premier 7-26

The details of this film are still under wraps but the cast alone gets me hyped! Tarantino's new flick is set in 1969 and includes Leo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt...need I say anymore?

Number 3: Toy Story 4 Premier 6-21

Another series returning to the big screen, Toy Story follows Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and the rest of Andy's old toys in a crazy adventure to save a homemade toy named Forky. Truly a nostolgic movie for all the 90s babies in the world!

Number 2: Spiderman Far From Home Premier 7-2

The sequel to Spiderman Homecoming has in my opinion the best Peter Parker over seas in Europe, where he meets a new ally looking for assistance defeating tougher enemies then young Spiderman has ever seen before.

Number 1: Lion King Premier 7-19

Call me crazy, but Disney has really hit bombas with all these live action recreations of the childhood classics. Lion King, live action, new hair CGI. Let's just say after I saw Scar with a mangy fur main it instantly shot to the top of this list!

Honorable mentions:

Hobbs and Shaw (8-2)

The Dead Don't Die (6-14)
